Here’s a quick recipe of making vegetable idlis with Naashtha’s rava idli batter.

Ingredients

  • A bowl of finely chopped mixed veggies – capsicum, carrot, corn, onions, tomatoes, and any other of your choice
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Serves: 8 idlis
Method:

  • Pour the rava idli batter into a large bowl, give it a good stir, add mixed vegetables, a spoon of oil, and salt.
  • Grease the steamer pods lightly and with a scoop, pour out equal amounts of batter into every pod.
  • Microwave for 5 minutes or cook in an electric steamer as per availability
  • Serve hot with your favorite chutney on the side!
  • Optional – You may give the steamed vegetable idlis a quick stir fry with a tempering of curry leaves, mustard seeds, and cumin for a crispy snack.
